Mining Senior Hydrogeologist / Engineer - Environmental & Mining Consultancy

$160,000 - $170,000 + Full Benefits + Long-Term Leadership Progression

I am currently representing a well-established environmental and water technology consultancy with over 50 years of history delivering complex hydrogeological, environmental, and water solutions across Canada. They are seeking a Mining Senior Hydrogeologist/Engineer to support continued growth across Ontario and Quebec.
In this role, you will act as a technical authority, leading hydrogeological, ESA, remediation, and terrain analysis projects within the mining sector. Alongside technical delivery, you will manage and develop mining client relationships, contribute to sales strategy, and mentor junior professionals within a multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will bring extensive hydrogeology and environmental consulting experience, alongside strong leadership and business development capabilities within the mining market.
You will be joining a growing consultancy offering long-term progression, leadership influence, and the opportunity to shape mining sector growth across Eastern Canada.
The Role:
Manage and develop a portfolio of mining clients across Ontario & Quebec
Lead hydrogeological, ESA (Phase I & II), remediation & terrain analysis projects
Oversee drilling, monitoring wells, groundwater/surface water sampling & pumping tests
Conduct peer reviews and ensure technical quality assurance
Manage project budgets, schedules & multidisciplinary teams
Mentor junior staff and support business development initiatives
The Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, Geological, Civil or Environmental Engineering
10-15 years' experience in hydrogeology, ESA & remediation
Strong exposure to the mining market in Ontario/Quebec
Leadership and client development experience
Fluent English (French an asset)
Valid driver's licence & willingness to travel regionally
