Founding Trading Engineer - Quant Trading
$150,000 - $400,000 + Strong Equity + Flexible PTO

As a Founding Trading Engineer, you'll take ownership of assessing and monitoring trading risk, while also driving forward research and implementation of LLM-driven trading systems. You'll play a critical role in shaping the firm's risk framework and helping define the technical direction for next-generation quant automation.

You'll be working with 2 talented founders with previous founding experience as well as researchers/developers within an intense, focused, and deeply ambitious culture; expect to work hard, in pursuit of breakthroughs that matter. You'll collaborate directly with decision-makers on high-level trading and research strategy, with end-to-end ownership and huge impact potential.

The Role

  • Take ownership of trading risk assessment and monitoring
  • Develop and refine risk frameworks for LLM-driven trading strategies
  • Collaborate directly with founders on product, research, and capital strategy
  • Engineer and deploy systems for algorithmic trading and risk management
  • Help shape the technical and strategic direction of a high-performance team

The Person

  • Experience as an engineer at a top-tier algorithmic trading firm
  • Exceptional quantitative background (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields)
  • Strong proficiency in Python or Rust
  • Comfortable bridging research and engineering in fast-paced environments
  • Looking to commit fully to a working in a start-up environment
