Quantity Surveyor

£40,000 - £50,000 + Company Vehicle + Company Events + Health & Wellbeing Programme
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is looking for an incredible new career move that offers job security and a fast-paced, but supportive work atmosphere?
The company is a well-established plumbing and heating provider based in the North West and has been experiencing a massive influx of growth lately and needs to find the right people to help them facilitate further expansion.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the costs of various projects across the company to ensure that they are in line with their predetermined budgets. You will also be tasked with producing budgets for upcoming projects which will be determined by your ability to negotiate with suppliers, liaise with other departments and identify cost-saving strategies.
The ideal candidate is someone who has experience as a Quantity Surveyor and either Bachelor's Degree or a HNC/ HND in a relevant discipline such as Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar.
It is key that you are also a confident negotiator as your negotiation skills will likely have an impact on the company's overall financial performance.

The role:
* Conducting negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors
* Producing budgets for upcoming projects
* Monitoring the costs of existing projects
* Liaise with other departments to identify ways to reduce costs
The Person:
* Relevant HNC, HND or Degree Qualification
* Demonstratable experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Good working knowledge of the construction industry, construction methods and materials
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Full UK Driving License
