Quantity Surveyor - Energy & Decarbonisation Projects
Covering North Region - Projects mainly between Leeds and Manchester (Hybrid Working)

A leading UK energy and engineering services organisation is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join one of their regional delivery teams, supporting a range of energy transition and decarbonisation projects between Leeds and Manchester and the surrounding areas.
Working closely with and supported by a Regional Commercial Manager, you will be part of a collaborative commercial team responsible for managing the financial and contractual performance of multiple projects. The role offers hybrid and flexible working, balancing office time with site visits and remote working.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work on meaningful, future-focused projects while developing within a supportive commercial structure.
The Role:
- Managing the commercial, financial, and contractual elements of energy and decarbonisation projects
- Producing accurate commercial reports, forecasts, and cost/value reconciliations
- Preparing timely and accurate client valuations
- Leading subcontract procurement and preparing subcontracts in line with company standards
- Managing subcontract accounts, variations, and change control
- Ensuring contractual obligations are administered in line with client agreements
- Working closely with project, operations, and design teams to manage risks and identify opportunities
- Supporting effective commercial and change management across projects
The Person:
- Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Confident communicator able to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders
- Experience within construction, engineering, M&E, civil, or refurbishment environments
- Knowledge of JCT or NEC forms of contract is advantageous
- Working towards or holding professional membership (RICS, CIOB, CICES) is beneficial
