Founding Full-Stack Engineer - (AI Research Platform)

Are you a full-stack engineer who wants to build and own the entire product stack powering an AI research platform used by top investment and M&A teams, transforming complex data into real-world decision intelligence, whilst benefiting from full autonomy and market leading equity?
This is a rare opportunity to join a YC-backed, fast-growing AI startup tackling a $10B+ market historically dominated by large consulting firms. The team is building an autonomous research platform that replaces expensive, manual due-diligence workflows with AI agents and voice pipelines that generate fully auditable market and commercial intelligence. Every insight is source-linked, verifiable, and delivered at scales and speeds impossible with traditional consulting models.
You will own the end-to-end development of the platform, building everything from database models and API endpoints to polished UI components for our Web App and AI Voice Agent applications. This includes designing new AI-powered modules, developing core product foundations such as agent orchestration and voice AI pipelines, architecting scalable full-stack services, crafting intuitive data-rich interfaces, and continuously improving the platform by applying lessons learned from each project.
You'll report directly to the founding team and operate as a key owner across the entire stack-frontend architecture, backend services, AI agent orchestration, and production infrastructure. Expect deep technical responsibility, product influence, and the chance to build fundamental systems that will define how institutional research is produced and consumed.

The Role
- Build new product features and experiences end-to-end, everything from database models to API endpoints, and integrating them with UI components for our Web App and AI Voice Agent application
- Design and build new AI-powered modules from scratch (e.g., market sizing, competitive analysis) that become core capabilities of our research platform
- Build and own product foundations across the stack: AI agent orchestration, voice AI pipelines, interactive data visualization, app and API performance, intelligent automations
- Apply learnings from each project into the product, so we're 1% better everyday (Law of Compounding is real. After all, we are founded by investment professionals)
The Person
- 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience
- Strong proficiency in React/TypeScript and Python
- Experience building agentic systems with LLM platforms (Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar)
- Deep hands-on experience with LLMs in production - building reliable agentic systems, not just API calls
- Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL database design
- Experience with modern frontend architecture, state management, and API design
- Track record of shipping user-facing products end-to-end
- Comfortable working in a high-autonomy, feedback-driven early-stage startup environment
