Founding Infrastructure Engineer
$200,000 - $230,000 + Equity + Medical + Unlimited PTO

This venture-backed startup (>$10M raised) is building the industry's most secure and flexible RAG platform, already serving customers leaders in tech, finance, hiring, and government. From regulated healthcare workflows to highly secure federal deployments, their infrastructure supports mission-critical use cases in AI across the public and private sector.
The platform is built to run in Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC), on-prem, and multi-single-tenant (MST) environments and you'll lead the evolution of those offerings. You'll work across Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and AWS, help drive SOC 2 compliance and security hardening, support enterprise and federal customers directly, and contribute to full-stack features using TypeScript and React.
This is a rare opportunity to take early ownership of core backend and DevOps systems at a fast-growing AI company, joining a small, elite team solving some of the hardest engineering problems in cloud, compliance, and security.
The Role:
*Lead cloud infrastructure, K8s, and DevOps development for a secure, flexible AI platform
*Build and maintain Terraform, Helm charts, CI/CD pipelines, and core infra across BYOC and MST environments
*Own compliance and security engineering, from SOC 2 and vulnerability management to working with PCI-grade pentesters
*Partner with customers and support complex technical deployments across both enterprise and federal environments
*Contribute to full-stack development of internal and customer-facing features using TypeScript and React
The Person:
*Proven DevOps and infrastructure engineering experience, especially with Kubernetes and AWS in production
*Comfortable with full-stack development, ideally with web apps (React, TypeScript)
*Willing to own security, compliance (SOC 2), and cloud cost optimization responsibilities
*Motivated to work across customer success, infrastructure, and semi-technical compliance/security questionnaires
*Excited to debug challenging infra issues, improve system performance, and support cloud-prem or on-prem deployments
