Software Engineer
$120,000 - $200,000 + Equity + Benefits + Relocation Assistance + Flexible PTO

Are you an experienced Software Engineer with full stack experience, looking to join a rapidly scaling startup in an environment with zero bureaucracy, high speed, and founding-level impact? Backed by top-tier investors and founded by a deeply technical team, this company is on a mission to modernize how America's industrial base connects with federal defense programs. In just a few months, they've build a strong network across the U.S. supply chain, have hugely increased revenues (they'll hit $5m+ ARR in the coming months), and are now hiring foundational engineering talent to help accelerate their next stage of growth.
This is an opportunity to join a small, high-ownership team solving incredibly complex, urgent problems at the heart of U.S. defense logistics and procurement. You'll be expected to build fast, think critically, and thrive in an environment with little structure and constant iteration. You'll work across a modern TypeScript stack to develop internal tools, ingest structured and unstructured data, and design end-to-end workflows that help manufacturers bid on multi-million-dollar contracts in just a few clicks.

The Role
- Architect and implement backend services to ingest and process large-scale government data
- Build real-time frontend experiences using React and Next.js
- Develop parsing and automation tools to handle data from PDFs, CSVs, Excel files, and public platforms
- Spin up new workflows like email ingestion and contract-matching tools
- Deploy features daily - code, test, ship, and iterate fast
- Own your work across the full stack (backend, frontend, infrastructure)
The Person
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React
- Comfortable working across the stack - shipping features independently from backend to frontend
- Experience designing and scaling distributed systems (caching, streaming, retries, queues, etc.)
- Open to relocating to or already based in the San Francisco Bay Area (this role is fully on-site, 5 days/week)
