This company is transforming America's defense manufacturing by integrating robotics and software into factory systems at scale. Backed by $50 million in funding and experiencing rapid growth, their mission is to restore America's industrial strength and build automated factories that produce for America's defense sector.

In this role, you will build approximately six new processes for an all-new factory, leveraging expertise in metal processing, statistical tools (CpK/PpK, 8D), and Lean methodologies to ensure process capability and compliance. You will hire and lead 2-5 engineers by example.

The Role:
- Ensure process capability using CpK/PpK, 8D, and 5-Why analysis.
- Develop and qualify robust processes for defense-grade steel forgings.
- Lead FAIs and process validations to meet defense standards.
- Apply SPC and statistical tools (Minitab, Excel, R-Shiny) for process control.
- Leverage expertise in metal processing, including heat treating and chemical coatings
- Drive Lean and Six Sigma to improve efficiency and quality.
- Serve as primary process engineering contact for customers and suppliers.
- Manage shift supervisors and process techs across all shifts.

The Person:
- Experience leading process engineering in defense, aerospace, or complex manufacturing.
- Skilled in CpK/PPK, SPC, RCCA (8D, 5-Why), Minitab, and R-Shiny.
- Hands-on leader and team builder; thrives in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communicator, proactive problem-solver, and effective mentor.
- Experience in metal processing is required, including forging, casting, heat treating, chemical processing, or rolling
