Controls & Process Engineer (PLC Programming)

$90,000 - $120,000 + Bonus + Progression + Training + 401k + Medical + Dental + Vision
Are you a Controls Engineer with strong PLC programming experience, looking for a role where you can take ownership of automation projects while being trained and developed into a broader Process Engineering expert?
On offer is the opportunity to join a growing manufacturer where you will lead controls and automation improvements across production lines, while being supported and trained on the process development and continuous improvement side of the business.
This company are a leading manufacturer of critical technology, and are in an exciting phase of consistent year-on-year growth. They are investing in automation, equipment upgrades and strengthening their engineering capability in their brand-new facility.
On offer is a hands-on role where you will program and troubleshoot PLC systems, develop HMI interfaces, commission new equipment and support testing systems. You will work closely with experienced engineers to drive process improvements, NPI development and manufacturing optimisation. Full support is provided to develop your Lean, Six Sigma and broader process engineering skillset once established in the role.
This role would suit a Controls Engineer who enjoys being on the production floor, solving real-world automation challenges, and wants to broaden their impact into process engineering and continuous improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment.
The Role:
- Lead PLC programming, troubleshooting & automation upgrades across production equipment
- Develop HMI interfaces, control documentation & electrical schematics
- Drive process improvements & support NPI projects (training provided)
The Candidate:
- Experience with PLC programming
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, actuators & VFDs
- Comfortable working hands-on within manufacturing environments
- Interested in developing process engineering & continuous improvement expertise
