Job description
CNC Lathe Machinist - 2nd Shift
Hanover, PA
$29 - $33/hr
+ Long-Term Progression + Training + Overtime + High-Precision Custom Work + Stable, Established Manufacturer + Excellent Company Benefits & more!
Are you a CNC Lathe Machinist ready to take real ownership of your machine and work on complex, custom projects?
Do you want 2nd shift hours with genuine technical variety and the opportunity to progress your career?
This is an opportunity to join a long-established, globally respected machinery manufacturer building highly customized equipment. Every component supports engineered-to-order machinery, meaning the work directly impacts high-level builds - not high-volume production.
On 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm), you'll run and fully set up CNC lathes, handling tooling, offsets, and first-piece verification with real independence. They're looking for someone confident enough to own their setup, make adjustments, and hold tight tolerances without constant supervision.
Programming experience is a major advantage. However, strong setup machinists who can confidently edit programs and understand machining strategy are absolutely encouraged to apply. There is room to grow that responsibility over time for the right person.
The Role:
- Operate and fully set up CNC lathes on custom components
- Read detailed blueprints and hold tight tolerances
- Perform tooling changes, offsets, and first-piece inspections
- Contribute to program edits and optimization where applicable
The Person:
- Experience running CNC lathes in a precision environment
- Strong setup capability and ability to work independently
- Confident reading prints and working accurately to tolerance
- Programming experience would give you a distinct advantage
