Civil Estimator
$100,000 - $130,000 + Vehicle + Excellent Benefits + Training + Progression

Are you a Civil Estimator looking to take ownership of the estimating function, influence major bid decisions, and progress into a senior or leadership role with a growing contractor?
On offer is the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the success of civil and utility projects from day one. You will be trusted to manage the estimating process, work closely with operations, and help grow the estimating capability as the company continues to expand.
This is a well-established and highly respected civil contractor delivering site development and underground utility projects across Central Florida. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for doing things properly, they offer a stable, supportive environment where estimators are valued for their accuracy, judgment, and contribution to long-term success.
In this role, you will take full ownership of the estimating process from pre-construction through turnover. You will review drawings and specifications, prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs, manage subcontractor and vendor pricing, and work closely with project managers and leadership to ensure bids are accurate, competitive, and well planned.
This role would suit a Civil Estimator from a heavy civil or site development background who is looking to make a real impact, take on greater responsibility, and progress their career within a growing contractor.
The Role:
- Prepare detailed civil construction estimates for site work and underground utility projects
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
- Manage the estimating process from pre-construction through project handover
- Support the growth and development of the estimating function as the company expands
The Person:
- Experience estimating earthwork, underground utilities, and stormwater projects
- Proficient with HCSS HeavyBid and AGTEK
- Strong communication skills when working with internal teams and subcontractors
- Able to manage multiple estimates while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
