This is an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join a well-established and fast-growing subcontractor operating within the construction industry. The role has been created to support significant business growth and offers the chance to take real ownership of purchasing activities across a busy and varied workload.

The business delivers supply and install packages on projects ranging from £10k to £2m, working with leading developers across London and key UK cities including Manchester, Birmingham, and Southampton. With turnover of circa £12-13m and ambitious plans to continue scaling, this is a stable yet entrepreneurial environment with plenty of opportunity for progression.

You'll be heavily office-based, overseeing material procurement across live jobs. Working closely with suppliers, site teams, and senior management, you'll play a key role in ensuring materials are ordered accurately, competitively, and delivered on time to support project delivery.

This role is ideal for someone with buying or procurement experience, either within construction or from a related commercial environment such as a builders' merchant. Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities will be essential to succeed.

As the business continues to grow, there is genuine scope to develop this role into a senior or departmental position. You'll receive hands-on support from senior leadership, exposure to the wider commercial operation, and the opportunity to build processes and supplier relationships that will underpin the company's long-term growth.

The Role
* Overseeing material procurement across multiple live Construction projects
* Raising and managing purchase orders
* Negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers
* Managing supplier relationships and bulk orders
* Occasional site visits and supplier meetings

The Person
* Previous buying or procurement experience
* Strong Excel and administrative skills
* Confident negotiator with good supplier management skills
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Hard-working, reliable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
