Trainee Estimator

Excellent role on offer for an aspiring Trainee Estimator who is looking to join a unique and successful steel construction business where you will work on a range of interesting projects within a close knit team.

This company are a niche steel frame construction company who offer a turnkey process, consistently create high quality builds. They work on an array of interesting commercial projects, ranging in size, scale, and value, they have seen huge success with their work over the last few years, as a result building a great name for themselves in the industry. This has led to fast growth of the business. Due to this expansion, and strong order book, they are looking for a Trainee Estimator to join their team to progress through the ranks and gain expert training along the way.
In this office based role, working hand in hand with their Estimator, you will be working within the small Commercial team, amongst other team members. You will gain training on all processes and procedures and your main job role will be to prepare and submit bids with the key objective of ensuring quotations are submitted on time, and are of high quality. You will take ownership of multiple tender submissions once you are fully trained up, working alongside your colleagues and other departments, ensuring you are achieving maximisation of profits. You will attend sub-contractor, pre-construction and client meetings so will have varied day to day responsibilities gaining full insight into an Estimator role.
This role would therefore ideally suit someone who is interested in getting in to an Estimating role, who has previous experience in a construction related role. You will have strong numeracy skills and your IT ability will be proficient in Excel. You will be an ambitious and enthusiastic individual who is a 'self-starter' and looking to progress and develop your career and work your way up the ranks with this company.
