Are you currently working in a construction or project delivery role such as building surveying, quantity surveying or project management?

Would you like to step away from constant site delivery into a respected technical advisory role where you become a trusted expert, influence projects across an entire region, and enjoy genuine flexibility and long-term career progression?

This well-established not-for-profit organisation operates at the heart of public sector construction, supporting local authorities, housing providers and public bodies to deliver compliant, high-quality and value-driven building programmes that improve homes, buildings and communities across the UK.

Known for its people-first culture, strong internal progression and investment in development, it offers a rare combination of autonomy, purpose and security - alongside one of the most attractive benefits packages in the sector.

In this regional field-based role covering the North East and North West, you'll act as the technical link between public sector clients and appointed contractors, ensuring construction projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance and value. You'll provide hands-on technical support, attend sites, resolve issues, validate compliance and build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the region.

You'll also help shape and improve national construction frameworks by sharing regional insight and technical expertise - giving you influence beyond individual projects.

This role is primarily field based, with hybrid working and one fixed office day per week.

The Role

*Act as a technical advisor between public sector clients and appointed construction partners
*Support building programmes and individual projects from feasibility through to completion
*Carry out site visits to monitor progress, quality and compliance with specifications

*Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams
*Contribute to improving technical standards and framework products
*Maintain project records and audits through CRM systems
*Represent the organisation at meetings, events and industry forums

The Person

*Background in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or Construction Project Management
*Experience delivering construction projects end-to-end
*Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycles
*Experience working within public sector or regulated environments
*Confident working on site and with senior stakeholders
*Commercially aware with strong organisational and analytical skills
*Comfortable managing a regional, hybrid field-based role
*Experience with CRM systems or similar platforms
*Housing or local authority experience beneficial but not essential
*Candidates must be willing to do into the office one day a week in Ashton-under-Lyne.
