Electrical Trainer (Temporary)

Langley, site based

£40-45 per hour

Temporary contract, hours as agreed

Are you an experienced Electrical Trainer looking for a contract role with clear responsibilities, structured delivery, and a supportive FE environment?

Do you want to deliver high-quality, classroom-based electrical training to apprentices, focusing on teaching, assessment, and learner progression without being overloaded with administrative or departmental duties?

This well-established, learner-focused education provider is highly regarded for delivering apprenticeship and technical programmes. The electrical department is organised and supportive, providing existing teaching resources, structured schemes of work, and a stable environment where contract trainers can focus on delivering high-quality teaching and supporting apprentice success.

This temporary contract role is designed to cover delivery and assessment of electrical apprenticeship programmes. You will deliver structured lessons, conduct progress reviews, and support apprentices through gateway and End Point Assessment, working closely with curriculum and employer teams.

The Role

  • Deliver a structured electrical curriculum aligned to apprenticeship standards and End Point Assessment requirements

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop knowledge, skills, and behaviours

  • Conduct progress reviews and provide clear, constructive feedback to learners

  • Prepare apprentices for gateway and End Point Assessment

  • Liaise with employers, curriculum teams, and EPA organisations to support learner progression

  • Maintain accurate learner records and off-the-job training evidence using approved systems

  • Support learners with additional needs in collaboration with ALS or support teams

The Person

  • Level 3 Electrical qualification such as 2365, 8202, 2330, 2360, or equivalent

  • Recognised teaching qualification such as AET, CET, or equivalent

  • Proven experience delivering electrical training within apprenticeships or FE settings

  • Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards, gateway, and End Point Assessment processes

  • Confident classroom presence with the ability to engage and motivate learners
