€50,000 - €70,000 + Bonus + Company Car + 25 Days Holiday + RTT + Pension + Extensive Product Training
Are you looking for an opportunity to work with highly specialised laboratory technology used across pharmaceutical, chemical and industrial laboratories?
Do you have a technical background within laboratories or biochemistry combined with some sales experience?
I am currently representing a globally recognised manufacturer of laboratory temperature control equipment used across pharmaceutical, chemical and research laboratories worldwide. Established for over 50 years and employing over 400 people globally, they are continuing to expand their presence in France and are now looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to cover Western France.
In this role, you will be travelling throughout your region meeting laboratories and distributors, building long-term relationships and developing new business opportunities. The position offers significant autonomy, with around 60-75% travel, typically spending 3-4 days per week visiting clients.
The company invests heavily in training due to the highly technical nature of their products. New employees receive extensive product training that can take several years to fully complete, ensuring you become a true specialist in the field.
The successful candidate will come from a technical laboratory background such as biochemistry or scientific research, or have experience working for a distributor in the laboratory equipment sector. They must also bring strong communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to build relationships with laboratories and technical teams.
You will be joining a highly respected company operating in a niche but stable industry, offering long-term career stability and the opportunity to work with a wide variety of laboratory clients across your region.
The Role

  • Field-based technical sales across Western France
  • Visiting laboratories and distributors to develop new and existing business
  • Planning travel routes and managing your regional sales activity
  • Building long-term relationships with laboratory customers
  • Collaborating with the wider sales team across Europe

The Candidate

  • Technical background in laboratories, biochemistry, or scientific environments
  • Some experience in technical sales or working with distributors
  • Fluent French with B2 level English
  • Comfortable travelling 60-75% of the time
  • Based in Western France
