£34,000 - £38,000 + Further Technical Training + Pension
Office based role, commutable from Yeovil, Wincanton, Sherborne, Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury, Wells, Gillingham, and the surrounding areas

The role involves end-to-end responsibility for procurement and supplier management, sourcing and negotiating with suppliers of technical, fabricated, and manufactured components while ensuring cost control, quality, and delivery performance. It requires strong ERP and MRP capability to convert planning signals into accurate purchase orders, maintain data integrity, and support production schedules. You will work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing, and support new product introduction.
The role would suit someone from a Purchasing or Technical Buying background within Manufacturing or Engineering looking to technically develop their career.
The Role:
*Manage end-to-end procurement for technical, fabricated, and manufactured components.
*Responsible for supplier sourcing, negotiation, performance management, and risk mitigation.
*Operate ERP and MRP systems to convert planning signals into accurate purchase orders and maintain data integrity.
*Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to support production, NPI, inventory control, and compliance.
The Candidate:

*Knowledge of Manufacturing or Engineering industry
