Structural Engineer / Project Manager - Small Buildings & Special Projects
Kitchener, Ontario
$95,000 - $115,000 CAD + Bonus + Health & Dental + RRSP + PTO + Benefits

Are you a licensed Structural Engineer with a background in light-frame wood construction, looking to manage specialized building projects from concept through completion?

This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative structural team focused on small building design and unique structural challenges. You'll lead projects that fall outside the typical large-scale development track offering a dynamic mix of design, coordination, and problem-solving across a variety of sectors including low-rise residential, commercial, and institutional.

Our client is a growing consultancy with multiple divisions across structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering. In this role, you'll work within the structural group but collaborate closely with other disciplines as part of fully integrated design teams. You'll be responsible for both engineering design and project oversight, while ensuring that work aligns with current codes, standards, and client expectations.

This position is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, but also wants the responsibility of managing client relationships, timelines, and overall project delivery.

The Role:

  • $95,000 - $115,000 CAD + Bonus + Health & Dental + RRSP + PTO + Benefits
  • Design and manage structural engineering projects focused on small buildings and light-wood frame structures
  • Lead technical delivery, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain client communication throughout
  • Apply structural analysis tools and ensure compliance with relevant codes (OBC, NBC, CSA)


The Person:

  • Licensed P.Eng in Ontario, with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Experience designing light-frame wood buildings and leading structural projects from start to finish
  • Proficient in structural analysis software; confident working independently and in cross-disciplinary teams
