Andover - commutable from Winchester, Newbury, Sailsbury, Tidworth, Basingstoke, Thruxton

Are you a stores person with mechanical skills aspiring to work for a leading company who have a great reputation for training & developing their loyal workforce?

This well-established bespoke company specialise in the manufacture and sale of specialist plant equipment. They have an international portfolio and are continuing to expand their UK operations, as such they have a loyal and ever-growing client base throughout the UK and Europe. On offer is a varied role where you will be responsible for the picking of mechanical parts for a busy production line alongside undertaking some machine assembly works. This is a fantastic opportunity for a secure, stable role in a great environment where you can build your career within the production department.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a stores-based role & be competent in the picking of parts for production, alongside being competent using hand tools for mechanical assembly works.

The role will provide fantastic training for a mechanically minded, practical & highly motivated stores person in an environment where you can progress long term.

The Role:

  • General stores duties & picking of parts within a busy production environment
  • Sorting of goods in and storage of parts in designated areas within the warehouse
  • Mechanical Assembly of parts for plant / agricultural machinery (training provided)

The person:

  • Previous experience in a stores-based role (picking parts for assembly)
  • Mechanically minded - ideally Mechanical assembly background or have some experience of working on own vehicle etc & be competent using tools
  • Practical, highly motivated & able to work working to tight deadlines
  • Organised with a keen eye for detail, a can-do attitude & looking for training & development in a mechanical assembly role
