Staff ML Engineer
Berlin - Permanent Employee, Full-Time, Hybrid (2 days a week on site)
€90,000 - €120,000 + Holiday + Pension + Flexible working hours

In this role, you will shape the technical direction and of the ML platform, leading strategic initiatives to modernise the architecture. You will also work cross-functionally to consult on these strategies and ensure technical alignment.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced ML Engineer with demonstrated scope at a Staff level. Your experience will cover the entire ML stack, from data to deployment, using Python, PyTorch, Kubernetes and OpenTelemetry.

The role:
- Lead the definition system design principles
- Consult on complex architectural decisions
- Ensure technical alignment with cross-functional teams
- Evaluate emerging technologies
- Mentor engineers and guide technical discussions
The Person:
- Expert skills in Python, PyTorch, Kubernetes and OpenTelemetry
- Experience working across multiple teams/cross-funtionally
- Experience working across the whole ML stack (data to deployment)
- Knowledge of the science/medical industry
- Eagerness to lead initiatives, learn new technologies and excel in a complex space
