Software Engineer (Full Stack)
$180,000 - $280,000 + Equity + PTO

This is an opportunity to join a start-up transforming medical education through AI-powered simulation technology. The team has built a platform that enables students and doctors to practice complex scenarios safely and at scale, solving a critical bottleneck in healthcare training that's existed for decades and tends to disproportionately affect marginalised groups.
With $4M ARR already achieved and a Series A round closing in the next 2 months, this is the perfect inflection point to join: early enough for meaningful equity and impact, but with validated product-market fit and strong revenue momentum. You'll be building the technical foundation that scales from here.
As the Software Engineer, you'll architect and build the core platform using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and Supabase, developing applications that integrate multiple LLM components to create intelligent simulations that analyze and respond to user interactions in real-time, bringing AI agents into high-stakes training environments where quality and accuracy matter deeply.
This role offers genuine ownership: you'll shape technical decisions, influence product direction, and build the engineering culture from the ground up. As the company scales post-Series A, you'll have a clear path to grow with the company and the opportunity to build and mentor the team around you.

The Role
- Architect and build full-stack features for AI-powered medical simulation platform
- Integrate multiple LLM components to create intelligent, responsive training scenarios
- Work directly with co-founders on product strategy and technical roadmap
- Own critical features end-to-end from design through deployment

The Person
- 2-5 years of full-stack engineering experience, ideally including startup experience
- Strong technical fit: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js (Supabase experience a plus)
- Experience or strong interest in working with LLMs and AI integrations
- Motivated by mission-driven work with tangible real-world impact
- Excited by high-autonomy environments where you shape the product
- Ready to commit onsite in New York, NY and be part of building something from near-zero to scale
