Senior Software Engineer (SC or DV Clearance)

£60,000-£75,000 Progression + Pension + Holiday + Package
An excellent opportunity awaits an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join an exciting start-up business specialising in satellite imagery. This role offers significant growth potential, autonomy and flexibility in a business trusted by international organisations.
This company is innovative start-up business specialising in satellite imagery working in , collaboration and trusted by institutions like NATO and the UK Space Agency.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in leading the full-stack development of our satellite imagery product. You will design and implement innovative software solutions using Java and Python, and manage the cloud infrastructure with AWS, Kubernetes, and EKS. As a leading figure within the business, you will support the wider team in business strategy and product solutions, aligning with technological advances and requirements in the Space industry. This position is predominantly remote, but you will be required to attend team meetings bi-weekly within a commutable distance to Reading.
The ideal candidate for this role is a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in Java, Python, AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Kubernetes, and EKS. Previous experience in software development within the space or satellite industry is beneficial. Candidates must be eligible for SC or DV-level security clearance due to the nature of the role. Due to the team's location, the right candidate will live within commuting distance of Reading or be willing to commute there every two weeks.

*Desirable experience in the Space, Satellite or Imagery industry
*Good communication and stakeholder skills
*Eligibility for SC or DV clearance.
