Senior Controls/ Automation Engineer

Are you skilled Controls or Automation Engineer looking to play a pivotal role in a unique manufacturing organization at the start-up and commissioning phase of a state-of-the-art plant?#
Do you want the chance to work across a broad range of technically challenging controls and automation projects, playing a lead role in the design, development, installation and maintenance of a world class facility?
In this position you will work cross functionally with engineering teams and contractors in the construction, start-up, test and commissioning phase of a brand new manufacturing plant. You will lead automation and control projects, including design, test and optimization of electrical equipment and PLC control systems (Rockwell). You will direct the maintenance of new equipment and systems, as well being the subject matter expert for troubleshooting controls or PLC related issues. This position offers autonomy, technical challenges, exciting career progression and technical training opportunities.

The Position:
- Lead start-up and commissioning phase for controls and automation projects for a brand-new manufacturing plant
- Work closely with engineering and contractors during the construction phase, develop control processes and oversee the design, development, installation and maintenance
- Be the subject matter expert for PLC and electrical troubleshooting
- Clear route for career advancement as the organization continues to grow
The Person:
- Skilled Controls / Automation Engineer
- Manufacturing, process, food, beverage or similar background
- Proven experience developing controls and automation systems, troubleshooting electrical systems and PLC's
- Effective communicator and able to work with multidisciplinary teams
