This market leading company are one of the largest housing associations in the UK and now due to continuing success, they are set to become the largest developer of new homes in the UK, managing over 250,000 homes across England. Due to ongoing work and an abundance of new properties secured, they now require a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team.

You will be responsible for managing a team of people, and work closely with internal teams, manage budgetary constraints using forensic cost control techniques, provide mitigation strategies, have a good understanding of cost value reconciliation and have experience managing principal and subcontractor arrangements.

The ideal candidate will be a Quantity Surveyor who has worked within social housing before, and will hold a relevant degree or HNC, and ideally be a qualified member of RICS/CIOB but this is not essential.

The Role:

*Project Quantity Surveyor - Property Services
* Working in and around East London.
* Managing principal and subcontractor arrangements
*Report to the Managing QS
*Manage Budgetary constraints using forensic cost control techniques
*Be highly numerate with data interrogation skills

The Candidate:

* Experience of working in Social Housing
* Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification / Degree/ HNC / CIOB / RICS
* Commercial Awareness with gopd legal/contractual knowledge
*Competent in use of standard methods of measurement
