Project Manager - Heavy Civils
Contract: 12-24 Months | Outside IR35
Location: Birmingham (1 day a week on site)
Rate: Excellent - Highly Competitive
Start: Immediate
Long-term, Outside IR35 contract for an experienced "hands on" Project Manager to deliver major government-funded heavy civils infrastructure projects in central Birmingham. You'll take ownership of defined work packages on one of the UK's largest and most high-profile infrastructure programmes.
This is a delivery-focused role with real autonomy, working within a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
The Role
- Manage end-to-end delivery of heavy civil infrastructure packages
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams (engineering, commercial, site)
- Hands on writing deliverable project information, plans, site plans etc.
- Control cost, programme, risk, quality and change
- Manage contracts and interfaces on government-funded projects
- Hybrid working with site / stakeholder presence as required
The Person
- Proven Project Manager within heavy civils / major infrastructure
- Experience on large-scale projects (bridges, highways, tunnels, utilities)
- Strong planning skills
- Solid commercial & contractual understanding
- Confident stakeholder manager
- Located in / close to Birmingham
- Full UK Driving Licence
