Job description

Principal Landscape Architect

Bristol (Hybrid - Office & Home Working, Cardiff Office Available)

£50,000 - £55,000 + Hybrid Working + Progression to Director Level + Chartership Support + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Landscape Architect to join a forward-thinking, employee-owned multidisciplinary practice working on regeneration, public realm, and large-scale development projects, offering clear long-term progression and strong career development support.

Are you a Landscape Architect with experience submitting planning applications and running projects from concept through to delivery? Do you want to work within a collaborative, non-corporate environment where your ideas and development are genuinely supported?

This ambitious and growing multidisciplinary practice specialises in creating high-quality new spaces across regeneration, residential, and public realm projects. With a strong long-term growth plan already underway, the business prides itself on its friendly team culture, employee ownership model, and commitment to supporting the professional development of its staff.

In this role, you will lead a variety of landscape projects, produce detailed drawings and planting plans, liaise closely with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to planning submissions. You will also support junior staff, attend meetings and workshops, and help strengthen client relationships while playing a key role in the company's ongoing growth.

With that, the ideal candidate will have strong experience within landscape architecture, the confidence to run projects independently, and the ability to manage client relationships and fee proposals.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to join a supportive practice where you will work on diverse, meaningful projects while progressing towards senior leadership roles.

The Role:

Project running across regeneration, residential, and public realm schemes
Preparation of drawings, landscape plans, and planning submissions
Client liaison, stakeholder meetings, and workshops
Mentoring junior staff and supporting team development
Hybrid working between Bristol office, home, and optional Cardiff office

The Person:

Landscape Architecture background with relevant degree
Experience submitting planning applications and running projects
Strong client-facing skills and ability to manage small teams
Bright, articulate, and proactive approach
Commutable to Bristol with hybrid working flexibility
