Plumbing & Gas Trainer/Assessor
Cambridge (Hybrid - Office + Site-Based + Home-Based)
£31,100 - £36,100 + 20% Pension + Full Training Provided + Progression + Autonomy + 37 Days Holiday

In this hybrid role, you will work with apprentices both at the training centre and out in the workplace. You will coach, tutor, mentor, support and assess apprentices on a 1 to 1 basis, helping them develop strong practical skills, knowledge and professional standards as they progress through their apprenticeship. You will liaise closely with employers to ensure learners receive the right on the job experience and support, while also helping apprentices successfully complete their qualifications.
You will be trusted to manage your own diary, plan site visits and organise your workload, giving you real autonomy and flexibility in how you operate day to day.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Plumbing or Gas professional with a Level 3 qualification, who enjoys helping others and is looking for a long term career change. No teaching or assessing experience is required, as full training and qualifications are provided.

The Role:
- Full Trainer & Assessor Training Provided
- Deliver training and support to Plumbing & Gas apprentices
- Carry out workplace assessments on site
- Coach, mentor and support apprentices on a 1 to 1 basis

- Hybrid role across home, centre and apprentices' workplaces

The Person:
- Background in Plumbing and/or Gas
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or a related trade
- Commutable across Cambridge and Huntingdon
- Keen to move into a training and assessing role
- No prior teaching or assessing experience needed
