£40'000-£45'000 + Progression + Holiday+ Pension

Monday - Friday

Due to an internal promotion, they are now looking for a skilled & motivated Plant Engineer to join their permanent team in Ipswich.

In this role you will carry out planned & preventive maintenance tasks on a range of heavy, industrial plant equipment to ensure smooth running of the plant & minimise downtime.

This role will suit a qualified & experienced Plant Engineer with exceptional communication skills who is looking to join a team who can offer extensive opportunities as part of a highly successful multi- national organisation.

The role:

  • Carry out routine planned preventative & reactive maintenance tasks on a busy plant
  • Mechanical works (conveyors, Hydraulics, Pneumatics etc)
  • Documentation of maintenance works
  • Supervision of contractors working on site
  • Planning and execution of plant improvements
  • Ensuring safe working practices are followed and that all safety regulations are complied with


The Candidate:

  • Qualified & experienced Plant Engineer (NVQ/City & Guilds qualification or similar)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic and Pneumatic systems - ideally with some electrical skills/experience
  • UK driver's license
  • Looking to work in a passionate & successful close-knit team as part of a large multi-national company who can offer extensive long-term opportunities
