£39,000 - £43,000 + 50 Days Holiday + Flexible Working + 28% Pension + Trainer/Assessor Training
Are you an experienced Engineer with a Mechatronics background, ready to take the next step and inspire the next generation?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing apprenticeship team as a Mechatronics Trainer/Assessor. You'll work with a dedicated caseload of apprentices, helping them succeed through one-to-one coaching, mentoring, and on-site assessments - with full training and assessor qualifications provided if needed.
This permanent role is ideal for someone passionate about guiding others and looking to move into education or training. You'll work both on campus and on employer sites, ensuring apprentices stay on track for successful End Point Assessment (EPA).
The ideal candidate will have a vocational qualification in Engineering or Mechatronics, hands-on experience in the industry, and a supportive, organised approach. Whether or not you've assessed before - if you've got the industry know-how, they'll train you.


The Role


  • Coach and assess Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprentices

  • Manage a caseload through regular workplace visits and remote reviews

  • Track learner progress toward Gateway readiness and EPA

  • Deliver engaging teaching and support sessions using Microsoft Teams and e-portfolios

The Person


  • Degree or vocational qualification in Engineering/Mechatronics

  • Industry experience in a relevant technical or mechanical field

  • Assessor award (A1) desirable - training provided if not yet held

  • Organised, communicative, and passionate about learner success

  • Based within a commutable distance of Slough or Langley
