Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Training to be a Trainer)

£38,000 - £43,500 (DOE) + Monday to Friday (36 hours, Friday 12:30pm finish) + Private Medical Insurance + Pension Scheme + Teacher Training + No Weekends + 25 Days Holiday plus BH

The company has been established for over 50 years and is dedicated to providing engineering apprenticeships, developing skills, and identifying talent within the engineering sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking for time-served engineers who are either seeking a new direction within engineering or are willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
In this role, you will be responsible for teaching and delivering core mechanical maintenance skills to engineering apprentices, including hydraulics, pneumatics, fitting, and assembly. You will mentor up-and-coming engineers, drawing on your own hands-on industry experience.
The ideal candidate will have prior engineering experience and hold relevant qualifications. You should be willing to work towards a teaching qualification or be motivated to step into an educator role. You must also meet the requirements for a DBS check. This is a rewarding opportunity to develop new skills while helping to train the next generation of engineers.

The Role
*Teaching a range of mechanical maintenance principles (e.g., mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, etc.)
*Delivering training sessions and conducting assessments
*Providing high-quality teaching and learner support
*Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-4:30pm; Friday, 8:00am-12:30pm
The Person
*Background in Mechanical Maintenance, Multiskilled Engineering, Workshop Engineering, Field Service, or similar
*Experience in a workshop, manufacturing, industrial, or comparable environment
*Ex-Forces candidates (REME, RAF, Royal Navy, Marines, etc.) welcomed
*Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and fluid power systems
*Motivated to develop teaching skills and work towards becoming a qualified educator
