Mechanical Engineer (Water / Pump Installations)
Location: Thames Water Region - Commutable from London, Farnborough, Reading, Slough, Guildford, and surrounding areas
Contract: 6+ Months (Outside IR35 / CIS Available - Excellent Rates & Long-Term Opportunity)
Rates: Highly Competitive Day Rates + Van + Expenses + Ongoing Extensions

Are you a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Fitter with experience installing and maintaining pumps and pipework systems within the water or utilities sector?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading engineering contractor delivering mechanical upgrades, refurbishments, and new installations across multiple Thames Water region sites. You'll play a key role in the delivery of essential infrastructure improvements across clean and wastewater pumping stations.
The Role:
- Mechanical installation and refurbishment of pumps, valves, and associated pipework
- Work across multiple Thames Water region sites (depot in the Farnborough area)
- Carry out strip down, assembly, and alignment of mechanical systems and rotating equipment
- Support project upgrades, testing, and commissioning of pump systems
- Long-term contract, Outside IR35 or CIS - excellent rates and ongoing projects
The Person:
- Time-served Mechanical Engineer / Fitter with proven experience on pumps and pipework systems
- Background in water, utilities, or process plant environments
- Experienced in pump installation, repair, and alignment
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and work to high safety standards
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across multiple Thames Water region sites
