Mechanical Design Engineer (Specialist training)

£35,000 - £45,000 + Internal Training & development + External Courses + 33 days Holiday


Office based commutable from - Swindon, Cirencester, Oxford, Chippenham, Calne and surrounding areas

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer aspiring to join a specialist boutique motorsports manufacturer where you will take projects from cradle to grave in a highly autonomous role, all whilst being invested in through technical training and the opportunity to further progress your career as a task expert as part of a small specialist team?

This is a rare opportunity to join a small specialist team that will invest in your technical expertise where you will play a pivotal role in the team's success, whilst becoming a task expert and progressing your career.

This company has been established for over 15 years and has a close knit & highly valued team of around 20 employees. You will work as part of a small design team where you will be integral in the delivery of varied & interesting projects & where you will be recognised & highly valued for your knowledge and skill.

In this role you will be responsible for design projects of specialist parts, components, and fittings. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and close collaboration with manufacturing teams.

This role would suit an Innovative & forward-thinking Engineer who is proficient in mechanical CAD Design looking for a varied and interesting role, where you will receive ongoing internal & external training & development to become a technical expert in the field.

The Role:

  • CAD design of mechanical components, parts & fittings for the motorsport industry
  • Producing 3D CAD models and 2D drawings to industry standards
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure designs are practical & efficient
  • Office Based, Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
  • Further technical training to become a task expert
