Alexandria, Virginia (commutable from: Springfield, Newington, Arlington, Fairfax, Lorton)
$38 - $42 per hour + Excellent Benefits Package + Training + Progression into Plant Supervisor + 401k + Relocation Package + PTO

Are you a Maintenance Mechanic with experience in boiler maintenance in a Power Plant setting, looking to kickstart your career in the waste energy sector with a company who train and progress their employees quickly?

On offer is the perfect opportunity for someone with Boiler Preventative Maintenance experience to ensure the breakdown of equipment is prevented, enabling the operational effectiveness of the Power Plant. While being offered the opportunity to progress within the company to Shift and Supervisor roles.

In this role you will have a strong understanding of Boiler Maintenance, being able to effectively complete tasks to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime. This will also include using cutting edge technology in the preventative maintenance of power plant electrical equipment, carry out repairs and installation of equipment, and diagnose malfunctions using mechanical devices. You will be an individual who is used to hot environments, being in and outside, whilst balancing workload to ensure the smooth operation of the plant.

The Role:

  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the plant operations are ran smoothly
  • Collaborate with different teams to analyse causes of breakdowns and repair the equipment in a timely manner
  • Rotate on call for power outages with a mixture of days/nights
  • Progress into senior supervisor positions by training and becoming knowledgeable of plant operations

The Person:

  • Must have experience in power outages, willing to work on call and rotating shift schedule
  • Background in power generation plants - boiler, piping, and support systems
  • Experienced with boilers, soot blowers, motors, turbines, and conveyors is preferred
  • Looking to progress into more senior roles through training programmes
