Machine Shop Manager

The ideal candidate will bring Aerospace / Defense industry experience within a job shop environment, along with proven leadership skills, and be seeking a long-term career opportunity.
The Role:
- Leading a team of 15 people (Machinists, CNC Programmers, Welders, Maintenance staff etc.)
- Ensuring efficiency and quality in the shop floor operations of manufactured goods
- Involved with planning, scheduling, problem-solving and quality non-conformances
- Leading and driving improvements on manufacturing activities
- Mentoring and training new personnel within the department
The Person:
- Machining / Job Shop background
- Strong background with CNC machines and welding equipment
- Experience within a senior / lead / supervisory role
- Able to read and interpret engineering blueprints
- Experience within a tight tolerance / aerospace industry would be advantageous (not required)
