Alexandria, Virginia (Commutable from: Springfield, Newington, Arlington, Fairfax, Lorton)

$50 - $53 per hour + Signing on Bonus up to $5000 + Premium Rates of Overtime + Training + Progression + 401k + Health Care Benefits + Relocation Assistance

Are you an Instrumentation and Controls Technician with mentoring and Allen-Bradley experience looking to join a company who offer a streamlined and clear route into management, with both internal and external training?

The right individual will want to work with state of the art equipment, lead a team on ground breaking projects and mentor new Technicians.

In this role you will have a strong electrical background, with mentoring and using PLCs using Allen-Bradley experience. This will also include using cutting edge technology in the operation of power plant electrical equipment, carry out maintenance checks, repairs, and instrumentation. You will be an individual who is used to more responsibility, whilst balancing workload with mentoring.

This role will suit a Lead Instrumentation Technician looking to mentor and cultivate an environment which embraces teamwork and provides opportunities for growth.

The Role:

  • Mentor fellow technicians and be able to multitask assignments for planned maintenance and repairs
  • No two days are the same, react to power outages/malfunctioning machinery
  • Clear training and progression plans made from day one for all employees
  • Possible overtime and on call - however paid at premium rates

The Person:

  • Instrumentation and Controls experience - Relevant backgrounds would be: waste management, energy from waste, oil & gas, nuclear, pharmaceutical or similar
  • Detail-oriented person who seeks the challenge of mentoring staff, and lead a team of 3-4 individuals
