£40,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Benefits + Development

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lead CNC Turning Machinist to join a well-established precision manufacturing business with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The role is based within a modern machine shop environment, working closely with Quality and Production teams to deliver high-quality components to tight tolerances and productivity targets. This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example on the shop floor while remaining heavily involved in programming, setting, and machining.

In this role you will take technical ownership of the CNC Turning section, supporting daily production, new product introduction, and process improvement activities. The environment includes advanced CNC turning and mill-turn machinery using Mazak, Siemens, and Fanuc controls.

The Role:

- Program, set, and machine CNC turned and mill-turn components to a high standard
- Act as technical lead within the CNC Turning section, supporting and guiding machinists
- Prove programs, resolve machining issues, and optimise setups
- Plan and implement robust machining processes for new and existing parts, including NPI
- Support daily production to meet delivery, quality, and efficiency targets
- Use both online and offline programming methods

The Person:

- Strong experience with Mazak, Siemens, and Fanuc controls, including ISO programming
- Proven ability to program, set, and operate CNC turning and mill-turn machines
- Experience with twin-spindle and/or Y-axis mill-turn machines
- Natural leader with a hands-on, supportive management style
