Junior Design Technician (Office Based with Occasional Nationwide Site Visits)

£30,000 - £35,000 + Early Friday Finish + 25 Days Holiday + Mileage + Progression + Training
Are you a junior Design Technician or graduate with AutoCAD experience looking to build a long-term career in modular construction, where you can support bespoke building designs from concept through to completion?
Are you looking to join a growing construction business where there is hands-on mentorship, real project exposure across a range of sectors and clear progression?
This company delivers bespoke, turnkey solutions from foundations through to superstructure. With strong repeat business, newly awarded frameworks and ambitious growth plans, they are looking for a junior Design Technician to support their continued expansion.
In this position you will work closely with experienced designers, supporting projects from concept through to delivery while developing your technical skills and industry knowledge.
This role would ideally suit an individual with an interest in Design and foundations, who is confident in a client-facing capacity and ready to grow within an ambitious and expanding business.
The Role:
Support the development of client briefs into practical, compliant design solutions
Produce and amend drawings using AutoCAD
Assist with designs from foundations through to superstructure
Liaise with manufacturers and subcontractors under senior guidance
Attend occasional site visits to gain real-world project exposure
The Person:
Some foundation knowledge or interest in building design (qualification or practical experience)
AutoCAD experience (college, university, or industry)
Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with clients and suppliers
Eager to learn and develop within a growing, ambitious company
