Field Geologist
$20-$28 per hour + Overtime + Training + Progression + Benefits + Per Diem +401 (K)
Ferndale, MI (Commutable from: Detroit, Kalamazoo, Ann Arbor, Toledo, and surrounding areas)

With continued expansion and new divisions launching, they're looking to add motivated field staff who want to grow within a supportive, technically driven environment.
On offer is a varied and rewarding field-based position where you'll carry out site inspections, soil strength verification, and backfill testing for construction projects across Michigan and nearby regions. You'll be provided with full onboarding, mentoring, and access to training and certification programs to enhance your technical skills.
This role would suit someone from a geology, construction testing, or field engineering background, looking for technical growth, stability, and recognition for their hard work.
The Role
- Conduct field inspections and materials testing for construction sites
- Verify soil strength, backfill, and grading compliance
- Ongoing training, certifications, and career development
The Candidate
- Background in geology, geotechnical, or construction materials testing
- Physically able to work outdoors and lift up to 35 lbs
- Strong communicator with attention to detail
