Generator Technician (Electrical)
Aberdeen - Workshop & Field Based
£35,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + Training + Progression + Holiday
An excellent opportunity for a Generator Technician to join a growing and well-established engineering business, offering long-term stability, specialist training and the chance to work on a variety of projects.
This role offers great opportunity to progress into management on or off the tools, with excellent overtime rates to boost earnings
This role will involve carrying out maintenance, servicing and fault finding on diesel generator systems both on-site and within a workshop environment. You will also support installations, upgrades and testing of generator packages.
The Role:
- Service, maintain and repair diesel generators
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Load testing and control panel upgrades
- Support installation and build of generator packages
- Work across site-based and workshop environments
The Person:
- Experience working on generators (minimum 3-5 years)
- Strong electrical fault finding skills
- Knowledge of generator control systems (e.g. DSE, DEIF, ComAp)
- Understanding of alternators, AVRs and synchronising systems
- Electrical qualification (HNC/HND or apprenticeship advantageous)
