Field Sales Engineer - High-Speed Connectivity Solutions
Köln / Bonn / Koblenz Region (Hybrid / Field-Based)
€80,000 - €90,000 OTE (Realistic earnings €100k+) + Company Car + Commission Scheme + 30 Days Holiday + Urban Sports Club + Long-Term Progression

Do you have a technical background in cables or connectors and the drive to grow a territory across the DACH region?
I am currently representing a globally established manufacturer of high-speed cables, connectors, RF solutions, and optical technologies, operating across Europe, the USA, and Asia. The business has over €2bn turnover and has been active in Germany for over 20 years. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to strengthen their German presence with a Field Sales Engineer covering the Köln / Bonn / Koblenz region.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business while supporting existing customers, working closely with engineers to provide technical sales support. You will spend 2-3 days per week on the road, managing distributor relationships, driving new customer acquisition, and representing the business at trade shows. The company offers extensive product training and clear progression opportunities into Field Application Engineering, people management, or wider territory responsibility.
The successful candidate will be a motivated, resilient sales professional with a technical understanding of cables and connectors. You will be comfortable with cold acquisition, customer-facing sales, and providing technical guidance throughout the sales cycle. Full product training is provided.

The Role:
- Develop and grow the German market across the assigned territory
- New business acquisition and management of existing accounts
- Technical sales support alongside customer engineering teams
- Use Salesforce CRM to manage pipeline and forecasting
- Attend trade shows and represent the business externally
- Travel within the region 2-3 days per week
The Candidate:
- Sales experience within cables, connectors, or electronic components
- Technical understanding (design, development, sales, or applications)
- Fluent in German and English
- Highly motivated, resilient, and comfortable with rejection
- Commutable to Köln, Bonn, or Koblenz
