As an Estates Technician, you'll work as part of a collaborative estates team, reporting directly to the Estates Manager and supporting the smooth running of a large, diverse site. You'll be involved in a wide range of activities, from hands-on maintenance and compliance checks to event setup, site security, and supporting contractors. his is a varied, active role offering both preventative and reactive maintenance work, with structured shift patterns, weekend rota cover, and flexibility built into the working week. You'll be supported with training where required and will benefit from a positive, team-focused working culture where reliability, initiative, and pride in your work are genuinely valued.
The ideal candidate will either be in a similar estates based role or you will have very strong DIY skills.

The Role:
*Carry out in-house maintenance including painting, decorating, carpentry, plumbing, and general repairs.
*Support legal and statutory compliance checks such as legionella, fire safety systems, asbestos, emergency lighting, and swimming pool water quality (training provided where required).
*Provide effective reactive and preventative maintenance across the site.
*Support one-off projects and liaise with the Estates Manager or Deputy Estates Manager on site issues.
*Supervise and liaise with external contractors when required.
*Contribute to site security and the safety and wellbeing of pupils, staff, parents, and visitors.
*Working a shift pattern of days and afternoon shifts.
The Person:
*Strong all-round DIY and general maintenance skills.
*Practical, reliable, and happy working in a hands-on role.
*Full UK driving licence.
*Able to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
*Flexible and adaptable in relation to shift patterns and weekend working.
*Positive, can-do attitude with a cheerful and professional outlook.
*Committed to promoting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
