Electrical Control & Instrumentation Manager

Are you a current EC&I Manager or an experienced electrical and control engineer looking to take the next step into management?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering company and lead a team responsible for the design, delivery, and maintenance of all site-wide electrical and control systems.
You will oversee HV and LV distribution, lighting, lightning protection, electrostatic discharge, PLC and SCADA systems, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and compliant with all relevant legislation and standards.
In this role you will manage and develop a team of engineers, take ownership of both new capital projects and the ongoing support of existing systems, and provide technical leadership across the site. You will be responsible for planning, commissioning, and maintaining systems, driving continuous improvement, and delivering innovative, technically compliant solutions that support operational performance.
This position is ideal for a hands-on manager with strong electrical and controls expertise who enjoys leadership, project delivery, and making a tangible impact across a busy site. You will have the opportunity to shape the engineering team, implement best practices, and contribute to the long-term growth and technical development of the business.
The Role
- Lead and manage a team of electrical and control engineers, overseeing site-wide projects, testing, maintenance, and statutory inspections of HV and LV systems, lighting, and control systems
- Deliver new capital projects and work packages safely, on time, and within budget, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical leadership and continuous improvement, including PLC/SCADA solutions, energy efficiency initiatives, and operational enhancements
The Person
- Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical, Electronics, or Control/Software Engineering, with proven experience in electrical distribution, lighting, control systems, and PLC/SCADA
- Experienced in project management, team leadership, and multi-disciplinary collaboration, with strong problem-solving, communication, and IT skills
- Hands-on, proactive, and safety-conscious, capable of managing complex technical work packages while developing and mentoring a team
