Document Controller
Brentwood, Essex
£35,000 to £40,000 + Long-Term Progression + Training & Development + Friendly Team Environment
This is an excellent opportunity for a Document Controller to join a growing and well-respected specialist contractor, working on high-profile fit-out projects across secure government and commercial sectors, with the opportunity to progress and run a department as the business continues to expand.

This specialist contractor has built an impressive reputation since its establishment almost 10 years ago, working on projects ranging anywhere from £20k to £3m for major clients including government agencies, police authorities, and private sector organisations. With a strong turnover and a growing client base, the business offers a great stable pipeline of work and a collaborative team culture.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing all document control processes, liaising with subcontractors and project teams, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the smooth flow of information across the business. There is scope for the future to grow out the department under you.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in document control within the construction sector and be confident using document management systems. They will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy project environment.

The Role:
- Full responsibility for document control across multiple fit-out projects
- Maintain and update document management systems
- Upload RAMS, drawings, and subcontractor vetting documentation
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors
- Track and manage document matrixes and ensure compliance with security protocols
The Person:
- Experience as a Document Controller / Administrator within the construction industry
- Proficient in document management software
- Organised, detail-focused, and proactive
- Comfortable working with subcontractors and high-security project documentation
- Based within a commutable distance of Brentwood, Essex
