Director of Electrical Engineering - Utility / Electrical Distribution (Relocation support available)
Location: Boyne City, Michigan - (Onsite role with 1 day remote)
$170,000 - $190,000 + 15% Bonus + 100% Family Healthcare Coverage + Relocation Support with $15,000 move reimbursement + $1,200/month housing allowance up to 6 months

This highly respected organization is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to manage a high-performing team, lead system design, technical services, and GIS & interconnection, and drive strategic initiatives that improve reliability, optimize performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.
This role will work closely with the VP of Engineering and senior leadership to set departmental strategy, oversee construction work plans, manage budgets, and act as a technical authority on distribution planning and reliability. The Role:
- Lead Engineering, Technical Services, GIS, and Interconnection teams
- Own construction work plans and capital planning for the distribution system
- Ensure RUS and regulatory compliance with reporting and standards
- Improve system reliability using data analytics and strategic planning
The Person:
- Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE)
- Utilities or electrical distribution experience
- Background in leading high-performing teams
- Working toward or already obtained PE License (any state - support provided to transfer to Michigan)
