Depot Supervisor
Wakefield, Commutable from: Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Castleford

As Depot Foreman, you will act as the key link between the office and the engineering team, supporting the Depot Manager with all aspects of day-to-day depot operations whilst also being hands on. This role would suit an individual who is either already an experienced supervisor/team leader/foreman or an experienced engineer looking to step into a managerial role. You will need knowledge of generators, have strong commercial awareness and communication skills.
The Role:
- Manage engineers' workload on a daily basis, allocate weekly service runs to engineers, liaise directly with customers, dealing with suppliers as and when necessary as well as hands on service and maintenance of generators
- 39 hours per week. Estimated on average 50hrs with overtime
- Overtime: 1.5x paid weekdays between 6:00am to 8:00am, then 16:30pm to 00:00pm/ 2.0x paid between 00:00 to 6:00am & weekends
- Depot based with occasional field based work when required (1 in 4 weeks on call rota - earning a guaranteed minimum of 4 hours pay per on-call day)
The Person:
- NVQ in plant maintenance/equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Supervisor/Team Leader/Foreman experience would be advantageous
- Experience working on generators
- Good communication skills
- Full, UK driving license
