We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Plant Engineer with at least 2 years' experience on commercial mechanical plant. This role is ideal for someone confident with service, breakdowns, and fault finding, who enjoys keeping critical systems running and developing their career in a fast-growing business.
In this role, you will focus on service and breakdown work across energy centres, restoring heating, completing planned maintenance, and supporting critical infrastructure as part of a 1 in 4 on-call rota. You'll also have opportunities to develop technical skills and mentor junior engineers.
The Role
* Service, fault-find, and repair commercial plant (pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, actuators).
* Respond to reactive breakdowns and restore heating.
* Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to ensure reliability.
* Diagnose faults and implement long-term solutions.
* Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rota.
* Support and train junior engineers.
The Person
* 2+ years' experience on mechanical or commercial plant.
* NVQ Level 3 in Gas/Plumbing or equivalent.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Confident communicator across teams and sites.
* Willingness to travel UK-wide and cover callouts.
* Basic electrical competency and able to read P&IDs/schematics.
