Building Surveyor (Office Buildings )
£45,000 - £50,000 + 41 days holiday + Enhanced Pension + Flexible working / hours
Travel across the South of England
An exciting opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join a Public Sector Union where you will work on a range of their leased Commercial Projects across the south of country within a great business that overs chartership support, a generous salary and unmatched benefits package.
Are you a Building Surveyor with experience in development, refurbishment and maintenance schemes? Are you looking for an autonomous role where you will be home and site based whist managing your own workload?
This Union represents members employed across a range of public service and utility companies. They currently own and lease over 32 commercial properties-primarily office spaces-across the country. With a continually growing portfolio and a workforce of
over 500 employees, the organisation is expanding its team. Due to increased workload, they are seeking a Building Surveyor to join their well-established business. The role will require nationwide travel.
In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: conducting planned and preventative maintenance of regional offices, carrying out regular inspections to assess the condition of premises, and preparing annual budgets for property-related matters. Your patch with mainly be the south of England from Devon and Cornwall across to Kent however you will occasionally be required to Survey properties nationwide.
This role would therefore ideally suit a Building Surveyor with experience in property surveying and maintenance and is looking for a long term career. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and an eye for detail, and looking to play a key role in a Public Sector Company.
The Role:
- Building Surveying of Commercial properties across the South Of England
- Conducting stock condition surveyors and overseeing Pre Planned Maintenance schemes
- Liasing with agents and suppliers on general maintenance and health and safety
- Offering support and advice to leaders and managers regarding building issues
The Person:
- Previous building or property surveying experience
- Background working on Commercial properties
- Experience working on stock condition and pre planned maintenance schemes
- Excellent communication skills
