Are you a Solar PV Designer or Electrical Design Engineer with commercial solar experience, looking to join an established company where you can take ownership of technical designs and work directly with customers on exciting renewable energy projects?

On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established electrical contracting and renewable energy business, where you will play a key role in designing commercial Solar PV systems, supporting the sales team and helping customers understand the technical solutions being delivered.

This company has over 28 years of industry experience, delivering electrical and renewable energy solutions across the commercial, industrial and public sectors. With an established team of Designers, Project Managers and sales professionals, they offer a supportive working environment, technical variety and opportunities for further development.

In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design of commercial Solar PV systems, working closely with the sales team to attend customer meetings, discuss project requirements and present proposed solutions. You will take ownership of the design process before handing secured projects over to the Project Management team for installation and delivery.

This role would suit a Commercial Solar PV Designer or Electrical Design Engineer with strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills, looking for a customer-facing position within a growing renewable energy business.

The Role:

• Design commercial Solar PV systems for a variety of commercial and industrial customers.
• Work alongside the sales team to attend customer meetings, discuss requirements and present technical solutions.
• Produce and develop technical designs to support commercial Solar PV proposals.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams throughout the pre-installation design process.
• Hand over secured projects to the Project Management team for installation and delivery.
• Office-based in Leicestershire with customer site visits as required.

The Person:

• Solar PV Designer, Solar Design Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer or similar.
• Experience designing commercial Solar PV systems.
• Strong technical understanding of Solar PV installations and electrical systems.
• Confident communicating with customers and explaining technical designs.
• Electrical design experience beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence.
