Are you a Quality Engineer or Process Quality Engineer from a heavy engineering background looking to step into a technically focused role where you can drive real, measurable improvement across a high-integrity manufacturing environment?

This is a permanent position with an established heavy engineering manufacturer, where you will play a key part in developing process controls, analysing quality performance data and improving the reliability of manufacturing processes and equipment across two plants.

You will support a "quality first" culture, working closely with stakeholders at all levels, and contributing to structured problem solving through root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement tools. You will also support customer and Tier 1 interactions, presenting analysis and tracking quality performance by customer requirements.

In this role you will maintain control plans and calibration of measuring equipment, support QMS compliance and auditing activities, and help embed standard work documentation and SPC methods to reduce variability and eliminate non-conformances.

This role would suit a Quality Engineer with proven metal processing knowledge who wants a technically stretching position with long-term security and the opportunity to make a visible impact on quality performance.

The Role:

  • Quality Engineer role supporting continuous improvement across two manufacturing plants
  • Implementing process controls, analysing quality data and driving corrective actions
  • Supporting QMS compliance, audits, control plans and change control
  • Maintaining calibration of measuring equipment and reporting quality performance
  • 40 hours per week, on-site

The Person:

  • Quality Engineer / Process Quality Engineer with technical foundry knowledge
  • Experience working with quality systems and analytical / root cause methods (e.g., SPC, corrective actions)
  • Confident communicating across the business and supporting customer-facing quality discussions
