MEP / Fire Protection Projects | 3 Month Contract + | Data Centre / Building Services

Immediate opportunity for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to work on specialist Fire Protection projects for Data Centres across Ireland and occasionally Germany and Finland.
Supporting a specialist fire-protection contractor on a flexible day-rate or hourly basis, this contract role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in MEP or specialist subcontracting. Experience within data centre projects is strongly preferred.

The Role

• Manage subcontract commercial activities, including valuations, variations and change control.
• Prepare cost-to-complete forecasts and cost reports, substantiating labour costs and productivity.
• Manage claims and final accounts.
• Lead commercial negotiations with main contractors and clients.
• Manage procurement and the flow-down of contractual obligations into subcontracts.

The Person

• Previous QS experience with an MEP or specialist subcontractor.
• Ideally experienced in data centres, building services or fire protection.
• Working knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts.
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar.
• Experience in valuations, variations, cost forecasting and final accounts.
• Sound contractual knowledge and experience negotiating with main contractors and clients.
• Irish / EU Citizen due to potential need for travel to Finland & Germany.
